A D.SH.S.l-080-140/A-U1 belt guard magnet with a rear drive drum and a front pulley electromagnetic guard magnet, a receiving unit and an adjustable flow divider is designed to separate metal components from dump slag of steelmaking production.

D.SH.Sl-080-140/A-U1 pulley electromagnetic guard magnet and еру drive drum 2 are installed on the frame 3. Slag is fed to the guard magnet belt 4 through the spare hopper 5. The drive drum 2 rotates from the gear motor 6, through the rotation belt it is transferred to the pulley separator. Adjustment of the belt speed is provided. The height of the slag layer is adjusted using the valve 7.
When current is applied to the pulley electromagnetic guard magnet 1, the ferromagnetic component will be released from the slag. The non-ferromagnetic fraction will be poured outside the guard magnet, the ferromagnetic component will be held by the magnetic field of the pulley guard magnet and discharged under it behind the flow separator 8.
The guard magnet control system allows adjusting of the magnetic field generated by coils of the pulley guard magnet 1.Thus, it is possible to change the percentage of ferromagnetic component in the material to be separated. Changing the position of the flow separator 8 provides additional adjustment of the separation process. The current is supplied to the separator coils through the brush assembly 9.
A liquid (oil) cooling system is provided to cool the coils of the pulley guard magnet. The pump 10 supplies coolant (oil) to the housing of the pulley guard magnet 1.The oil heats up when it washes the coils. Then it flows to the heat exchanger 11, where cooling takes place. The oil reserve is stored in the tank 12.
