The uninterruptible power supply is designed to ensure the necessary safety of work, preventing emergency shutdown of a load-lifting electromagnet (release of the held load) in case of disfunction of the main parameters of the mains supply (the UPS emergency mode). The UPS monitors voltage in all three phases.
The UPS works with voltage converters of the PNS, DPN, DPNT series (hereinafter referred to as the converter) manufactured by OOO “KEP “DimAl”.
In order to simplify installation on a crane, a voltage converter (the PNS or DPN) can be built into the UPS.
The UPS is designed to operate at ambient temperatures between -15 ° C and + 40 ° C. The temperature range can be extended by installing a heating or a cooling system.
In 2019, the specialists of our plant improved the UPS.
The following features have been implemented:
Robotic beams are designed for placing heavy pipes in conveyor cells in accordance with production logistics.
The grip is carried out by a extendible beam on levers, which eliminate the swinging.
The positioning system is based on optical sensors equipped with the multi-stage failure protection.
The positioning accuracy is +/- 3mm.
The first batch was put into operation at the Volzhsky Pipe Plant, which is a part of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), in 2016.
Magnetic extendible beams are designed to move 3-16 m long sheet metal length, 0.3-3.5 m in width with a minimum sheet thickness of 5 mm. Beams are available with lifting capacities from 3 to 25 tons.
Depending on the modification, there can be from 8 to 12 pulsed lifting magnets assembled into magnetic modules on the beam. The modules are installed on the beam using movable hangers with damping elements, which allow the magnets to automatically adapt to the shape and deflection of the sheet. If necessary, the hangers are equipped with a rotary device, which allows the magnetic modules to be installed in a position intended for moving sheet metal products 300 mm wide.
The telescoping mechanism is a built-in electromechanical drive that allows to change the length of the beam from 6 to 14 m.
The beams are equipped with a control system that allows to turn on all or selectively individual lifting magnets and set the lifting capacity in such a way as to ensure that only one sheet is lifted from the bundle.
When installing the beam on cranes controlled from the floor, the beam is equipped with a radio control system with a range of at least 100 m.
To lift sheets with a length of 3 to 6 m, only the central modules are switched on, to lift sheets with a length of more than 6 m, but not more than 8 m, all modules are switched on when the consoles are shifted, to lift sheets with a length of more than 8 m, all modules are switched on and the telescopic consoles are extended to the required length.
For lifting narrow loads, only the right or left lifting magnets in the module can be activated, or all magnets in the modules deployed along the axis of the beam (if there is a rotary device).
OOO “KEP” DimAl ” started the production of the DPNT voltage converters designed to power supply lifting electromagnets.

This type of protection is implemented according to the following algorithm: in the converter menu, the values of the current consumed by the electromagnet are selected at the level of 70% and 60% of the rated current specified in the passport for the electromagnet. A few seconds after magnetizing, the converter monitors the temperature of the solenoid coil based on the current consumption.
Upon reaching 70% of the nominal value of the electromagnet current, the converter signals with a light signal that the temperature of the solenoid coil can reach a level that is dangerous for the integrity of the coil insulation.
When the second limit, equal to 60% of the rated current of the electromagnet, is reached, an audible alarm is triggered.
As a result, the operator must stop the operation of the electromagnet to cool the coil for at least one work shift.
Thus, due to the implementation of the protection of the electromagnet coil from overheating with correctly set parameters, the possibility of failure of the lifting electromagnet for the above reason is completely excluded.
The single-rope grab is hung directly on the crane hook and is a quick-change load-handling device, that is, it does not take much time to replace it.
Using a single-rope grab, it is possible to mechanize loading and unloading operations for the transportation of bulk cargo on existing crane equipment designed to service the production process.
The whole process of operation of this grab – scooping, lifting the loaded grab, opening the tines and lowering the grab onto the material for a new cycle is carried out with one lifting and closing rope, operating from one driven closing winch.
The grab works in the automatic mode: opening occurs due to the touch of the grab on the surface.
The principle of operation of the grab is the same as described above.
The maximum opening of the grab tines is 1100 mm, which makes it possible to use it for works with a limited distance: wells, shafts of limited diameter and in places where it is not possible to use a grab with large dimensions.
The two-jaw motor grab with 0,6 m3 struck capacity. It is designed to handle bulk non-caked (not frozen) loads, with bulk density of not more than 1.6 t / cu. m and granulometric composition up to 80 mm, such as coal, coke, sand, crushed stone, etc.
The grab is to be hung directly on the crane hook and is a quick-change mechanism. The power supply is carried out from a crane trolley (hoist). At the request of the customer, the grab can be completed with a cable drum.
The main advantage of this grab is the low height, which allows it to be used indoors and on covered areas with limited height (warehouses, workshops).
The two-jaw electro-hydraulic grab with 1,2 m3 struck capacity. It is designed to overload bulk cargo with density up to 2.0 t /m3., such as: cement, sand (wet), rubble shale, slag, etc. At the request of the customer, the grab can be equipped with teeth.
The grab is hanging directly on the crane hook and is a quick-change mechanism. The power supply is carried out with a crane trolley (hoist). The closing of the grab is carried out by means of two hydraulic cylinders, the supply of the working fluid is carried out from the hydraulic station installed on the grab.
The main advantages of this model are: a small height, as well as high effort when closing the jaws through the use of hydroappratens.
The coil tiller is intended for transporting and coating of thin sheet steel coils from the vertical position into horizontal.
