D.ZH type suspended electromagnetic guard magnets are designed to extract foreign ferromagnetic inclusions from bulk non-magnetic materials transported by belt conveyors.
Guard magnets are produced in several standard sizes corresponding to the width of the conveyor belt.

Design features of D.ZH. guard magnets
The inclined arrangement of the pole pieces is optimal in relation to the transverse profile of the bulk transported material and improves the characteristics of the retrieval of ferromagnetic inclusions.
A distinctive feature of the T and ST categories is the use of a non-magnetic material for the manufacture of a case with a developed ribbed surface. This makes it possible to improve the cooling of the electromagnets and, accordingly, to increase the power, which ultimately leads to an increase in the depth of extraction of ferromagnetic materials.
* - The actual extraction depth depends on the magnetic properties, shape, size and speed of movement of the objects being retrieved.
D.ZH. guard magnets of category L and C are recommended for installation above conveyor belts, the speed of which does not exceed 1.6 m / s. category T and ST up to 2.0 m / s. At belt speeds from 2.0 m / s to 3.5 m / s, it is recommended to use DZhSh iron separators (with W-shaped magnetic core). At high belt speeds (above 3.5 m / s), it is recommended to use D.ZH.SH.-U guard magnets with an extended pole.
Control systems for electromagnetic guard magnets of the D.B.ZH-40 series in their functions have an alarm about the overheating of the separator, preventing their failure.
